The family, who lived in the US and Sweden, had owned this 1920s Sydney apartment for a long time, and had rented it out for 30 years. They eventually wanted to reclaim the space, which needed an overhaul.
Some aspects of the job
• Given the family’s Scandinavian heritage, we sourced furniture from Sweden as well as locally, and used a very understated colour palette to help give a slightly Nordic feel to the apartment.
• Sourcing for this job ranged from light fittings, fans and blinds down to tableware and bed linen.
• The brass door furniture had been painted over – we had it stripped back and repolished before reinstating it.
